You are absolutely correct.
NOTHING will work but del Sol VTEC linkage. del Sol's position their linkage about an inch and a half further back than any Civic or Integra. It's just the way it is people!

nope..for only the del sol..if you want to swap a B series motor into the del sol then you need to use a B16 del sol shift linkage on;y..however then is an alternative way to do it by using the del sol SOHC shift linkage (shifter end) and use any B series (tranny end) and cut and weld it toegether..
if you want to do a B series motor into any civic/crx then you have a few waty of doing to..use any B series shift linkage and same thing cut & weld or buy the aftermarket hasport shift linkage or any other one....GOT IT?

I've heard that they sell stuff pretty expensive now I am becoming more convinced

I'm in the same boat man, I'm going with inlinefour.com, great site, 200 is kinda spendy but it's for a OEM part (both parts of the linkage) and they throw in better shifter bushings too. My D16 has gotta go.
Majestic Honda sells them for 46.06 and 72.88....

Shift Linkage is #13 & 14
Not sure if you need the rest of the parts, but all prices are listed there...
If you are manual tranny sohc, do you need anything other than #13 & 14?
(sorry if this didn't help any..)
