What diff is this?
So here is the deal; i picked up a cable b16 tranny with an LSD figuring it was an oem trans from jdm land out of an EF8 or EF9 SiR. The gears are right for a Y1 or Y1 w/LSD JDM B16A SiR I 3.166 2.052 1.416 1.103 0.870 3.000 4.266 - verified all of this by counting teeth. the case was a Y1 (one spring on the reverse gear).
I popped the trans open to go over some things and replace the diff bearings and was greated with this diff. As far as I knew the oem diff in that trans was a helical gear type this is a clutch type and looks aftermarket but im not sure. I thought it was an mfactory as i've seen a few pictures of those but Mfactory says its not theirs; they said it may be a Kaaz but it doesn't look quite like that either.
so i'm here posting up what diff is this??
Also whoever put this diff in this tranny did not put the springs in the center that hold tension on the clutch packs. Where can i find some springs that will work and how much tension should it have?
This trans will see 90% street use on a ~ 450whp turbo ls/vtec maybe an occasional auto-x and drag weekend with radials maybe (probably never slicks but that may change). I know helical is best for drag but will this diff implode the first time at a strip?
Anyway here are the pix:

ok; someone else said it was a kaaz sorry; i've been told 10 different things but i know it doesn't look like a kaaz or cusco or mfactory...
i'm lost lol
i just need springs! so i can throw it in my tranny and finish my build

now that i found some detailed pix i'm thinking its a cusco MZ. the rs uses springs and the MZ uses the cone plate for initial torque so i guess it was put together right!
