here the story. its a b16 tranny in ek hatchback
i was pulling out of my driveway and driving up the street. as i'm in second gear the tranny locks up and car screeches to a halt and stalls.
car is now off and is hard to get out of second gear to put in neutral. finally i get into neutral and start the car up again. car starts fine , idles fine.
push the clutch in and it wont go into any gears , doesnt grind or anything, just wont go into any gears , like something is blocking it.
i turn the car off . push the clutch in , tranny goes into all gears.. but not when the car is running I push the car home bleed the clutch lines. start the car up and the same thing again. bleed them some more. still nothing.
somebody has to know what is going on.

There are easily 50+ pieces in a transmission, and that's without counting each individual ball or rod in ball bearings or needle bearings. It's naive to assume someone could pinpoint exactly what is wrong with something as complex as a transmission. Although we all wish it could work like that.
Realistically, you've got a couple options.
1) Pull the trans and tear it apart to fix it.
2) Pull the trans and replace it with another.
3) Let someone else pull the trans and fix it.
4) Let someone else pull the trans and replace it with another.

Check your slave cylinder and your master cylinder for leaks, or it could be the hydraulic lines.
I can't see a slave or master cylinder issue causing a car to lock up and stop dead in its tracks. Although, it never hurts to check out everything before pulling the trans.

problem solved , one of the springs on the clutch disk (exedy) broke out of place and wedged itself between the pressure plate and disc. thanks for the input guys.
