Default shift solenoids causing issues on 99 Prelude automatic?

I have seen a few tidbits that have stated the 97-01 Preludes had issues with the solenoids. Supposedly, the solenoids will cause the car to shift weird so I'm wondering if that's the problem I'm having:

1. If you leave it in auto mode and are going at light to medium throttle, the car will rev slightly on the 1-2 shift. It is not a slip. The car does not slip in 1st gear nor does it slip in 2nd. It seems like the car is turning off first gear but 2nd is not being applied fast enough, causing the slight rev.

2. If you floor it in auto mode, it shifts perfect.

3. If you are in manual mode and shift under 2k at light throttle or over 4k at medium throttle, it shifts fine. WOT in manual mode yields a perfect shift.

Do you guys think I may have a bad solenoid? If so, do you think it's the shift A/B solenoids or the linear (pressure) solenoid? I have seen claims of both and would rather know how to troubleshoot the trans instead of throwing expensive parts at it.

Hey, my 99 prelude just started doing the same thing a few months ago. Did you ever get the answer to your question?

Also when you put it in reverse does it kinda jump or clunk loud?

Ours went into gear nice and quiet. I did find the fix. The fix was to trade it off. Problem solved. LOL.
