S mode is gone
Sorry to double my post from 2016-17 Accord forum, but I guess it's a more suitable location for it:
"So I was driving on the motorway the other day and wanted to take full advantage of my V6 (Touring Coupe, AT) when I realised S mode did not engage. "S" didn't appear on the display (it was all black) and nothing happened comparing to D mode. The paddle shifters did not work. I still can upshift while in D. The gear box seems to shift ok, no issues with accelerating or rough shifting. I guess it's an electronical problem as S mode doesn't have anything to do with transmission itself. I also doubt if this could be a selective failure of the transmission computer as everything else works fine. I don't know when it broke down as I don't use this mode often.
Anyone experienced anything like that? Could it be just a shifter (e.g. some worn out wires as many BMW owners report)? I'd like to hear your opinions before I start taking the whole thing apart..."
