Play in steering wheel

Default Play in steering wheel

I'm changing my rotors and pads and turning my wheels side to side I have play and wheel is locked, tie rods don't look like there moving, can this be my rack??

Even if your wheel is locked you'll still have a bit of play. At least I do cause when I was checking mine I could see my steering wheel moving.

Are both front wheels off the ground? Make sure 1 (not the one you are shaking) is on the ground and try again. if you still have play it could be a bad bearing, inner/outer tie rods or rack. Look for where the play is coming from while your shaking the wheel.
