need to replace ISB..little help & advice needed
my swap has been a major pita. 92 gsr in a 93 dx with 95 gsr trans. ... sort everything out and find the input shaft bearing is toast.
i get the essence of how to drop the trans, i did the swap myself, i'm just wary of doing it myself because i had a heck of a time putting the engine in.
pretty much remove every mount but the drivers side mount, support engine with a jack and pull the tranny off? is it that simple? i know this is stupid to those who have done lots of swaps but i had like no clearance putting this thing in the way it's etched into my mind.
assuming i get through that:
when it's apart should i attempt to swap 2nd and 3rd from the ys1 in or am i getting in over my head thinking of that? i have looked through the transmission section of the helms manual and it def. does seem like a headache. just want this done right.
where do you guys source parts? ISB, seals, etc. the dealer? I have pondered ordering a full rebuild kit but is there certain brands or sellers i should favor and or stay away from? TIA

I am having this same problem w/ my tranny. I also have a GSR tranny and Y21 lsd tranny I have had to CONTINUOSLY swap onto my b16a3 for various reasons so all this info. is fresh in my head. Getting the tranny off is not too hard. If you have a tranny jack or better yet (and cheaper)... if you have a jack then you should just get a tranny mount adapter for it (harbor freight is where I got mine for like $50). If you have a friend to help it will be much easier to get it off too. I highly suggest keeping any and all bolts in baggies describing where they go because having extra bolts is no bueno. Anymore questions just feel free to ask and I will be more than willing to share with you what I have learned so far. Cheerz!
