i have this hydro conversion idea (dunno if it's been done) of using a 92-93 cable gearhousing mounted to a hydro b-series bellhousing utilizing the release bearing, fork, and slave cylinder w/ a braided line to a hydro pedal/master cylinder. that's basically it with your choice of hydro internals (ratios, diff, etc). yes you will have to source the parts, yes it will have to be put together, and yes you will have to change your clutch as well. might be more than you are looking for though than purchasing a conversion kit.

Easiest way is to just convert to hydro and run the hydro transmission. The hardest part is the pedal part - either graft in a 92-95 civic clutch pedal, or modify the existing one to use a hydro master.
He's talking about using the gearcase from a YS1 (large spline cable) and the clutch housing from a hydro trans. What this does is allows you to use your cable transmission mount (since you kept the gearcase side) but you go to a hydro clutch housing so you can mount your slave cylinder. Hell of a good idea if you ask me.
I was always going to put the MC inside the car on my wagovan but I sold the car before I got everything welded up. It's been done many times before and you can find pics of how people have been mounting their master cylinder inside the car. Doing it this way gives you TRUE hydro trans.
Other option is to get the piece that goes on the end of your cable and puts a master cylinder there (they typically mount it low on the rad support.

thank you for explaining that Ryan! all i'm saying is if i ever wanted to do a 'true' cable to hydro conversion...that's what i would do. and of course you need the big input shaft cable guts or the hydro.
I have a DA as well and I am looking at doing a hydro conversion. I put my H22 in with explicitspeeedperformances, mount kit. It came with the cable conversion brackets, but because of the size of my downpipe and the placement, I won't be able to use it. So, figured I can use this opportunity to kill 2 birds with 1 stone...cause I have a venom intake manifold, but I can't use it, because it hits the brake booster and master cylinder for the brakes. I figured if I go with the wilwood or tilton clutch and brake pedals that have the master cylinders on the pedal I could clear the downpipe and get rid of the brake booster assembly and run my venom intake manifold. I just have to find out more about the brake booster. You know how you have that large vacuum source on the stock brake booster, I was wondering if I need to replace that, or would it be null and void.

with those pedals with the masters on them, you will get rid of the booster. this is where pedal ratio 'leverage' comes in.
