Default How to convert cable trans to hydro?!?

Hey guys, my friend has a b16 cable trans, we ant to convert it to hydro. We have access to a hydro transmission case, but something tells me that it wont be as easy as just swapping the internals...

I know there is two ***** with springs on hydros for the gear changing, and on cable there is only one...and sometimes none. So how would i go about doing this??

Also how would i go about shimming from roller bearings to ball bearings in the dif from the b16??

Is there a kit i should buy? HELP!!

First which B16 cable trans is it?

YS-1, Y-1, S-1, J-1?

If it is a YS-1 it is a matter of swapping a few items.

If it is the others...not gonna happen...they are not interchangeable.

Hasport Makes a conversion kit. No need to swap internals. All it is, is a bracket that bolts to where the Slave Cylinder is on the side of the trans. I had one on my GSR motor i had in my ls. It uses the Factory Clutch cable. Its quite simple. If a gsr one works with a b16 tranny ill sell u mine with a hasport mount of the tranny side....
