Default auto tranny problems

okay i have a 96 honda accord bone stock. The other day i turned on my car to leave for work. I put it in drive but when i hit the gas it revved up like it was in neutral. Then all a sudden it fell into first gear. So i thought it was weird but started down my drive way. Though i found out that it was doing that for every gear. So i turned back around and check my tranny fluid i was kind of low so i parked it and took another car. I got tranny fluid today for it and the only thing is when i took it out for a test drive it was worse. Now when i put it in drive it did the same as the other day only thing is it wont get past like 2nd gear. Every other gear is like its in neutral so when you try to go over 30 or 40 mph its like you are in neutral. So i have no clue really about trannys especially automatics. So if anyone has any idea at all what might be the problem please post. Thank you.

Default Re: auto tranny problems

okay i have now thought about buying a rebuild kit. I have opened up manual transmissions before, but never an auto let alone i have never worked on them. So if i get a rebuild kit would this fix my problem? Also if so who makes rebuild kits for 96 honda accord lx auto?
