how's it goin everybody, me and my buds did an LS swap in my eg coupe and i was unaware that we didnt put trans fluid in and i drove it to autozone and back (6 miles total) now my 3rd gear grind whenever i shift into it above 3500rpm from 2nd and this is only when i upshift, im hoping its just the syncro... its a LS transmission to.

 

Try running a syncromesh. See if that helps with the grind

 

Also how do you know that it didnt grind before you put it in??

 

Also, i have a b16 trans that doesnt grind or have any popouts shifts fabulous! Its an S4C hydro id let go for $400. Im also located in Ohio, Toledo. Pm me if interested. It would make your LS scream with the shorter gears!!

it was a flawless trans when i bought it. and how bad is it to drive it with that grind till it gets real bad? its my daily

 

Try different ways of getting through the gate. Mine is notchy if I push too far to the right as I'm going into 3rd. If I go straight up out of neutral it's fine. I think the bracket on my shift linkage may have bent slightly when I did my swap.
