i have this LSD supposedly out of jdm itr but theres no info or any articles on how to ID the part.

it says 01J on the casing.

and loks like oem type-r LSD..

i searched for about a week and it seems like it might have been out of a 99 ITR but id like to make sure.

Still waiting on pics, but if it's an OEM B-series helical LSD than it really doesn't matter since there's only one, ITR/CTR are the same, everything else is viscous.

 

what if its from other engine like prelude or accord. are they same size?

Well then they would be different, and no Accord/Prelude is different.

 

so what the stamp mean anyone knows?

 

by the rough finish i would think stock type r but ive never taken one apart

 

from outside it looks identical to a stock ITR but i wish there was a way to tell what year it came out of.

 

ITR/CTR B-Series for sure

I have a US Spec ITR and its stamped "7ZB" and my personal JDM 98 Spec ITR 4.78 trans is stamped "83K"

Must be a manufacture code for them to know and us to find out! LOL I will do some research on my end.

 

i tried and did not come up with any info at all on the stamp.

 

casting date stamp.....don't bother try figuring it out
