Default Wire tech

This is a question for those in the know about electronics and wiring. Picture 30 or so wires all cut at the same spot in the middle of a harness. They are now all twisted, soldered and shrink-wrapped together. They are also bundled tightly together, shrink-wrapped wires next to shrink-wrapped wires. Some of these wires are supposed to be shielded like they came from the factory but are not. Would having all these wires, bundled together, with no shielding on the ones that are supposed to have it(because of the small break in shielding where the soldering was performed) cause any faulty resistance in the unshielded wires because of the magnetic field that the wires give off? If this is the case, is there any type of shielding that can be put on the wires without actually soldering in "shielded" wire? If you can help me with this you'll be my hero.

Bump. This pertains to my 02 sensor wires through my harness. My tuner cannot get his fjo wideband which is interfaced into the harness to get a signal. I'm thinking it might have to do with the wires that are not shielded where they got soldered, that go throughout the harness for the 02. However, the stock 02 sensor when plugged in works fine. No fjo reading= no tuning= no boosting. help.

does the car throw a stock o2 sensor code. if not then it isnt the wiring. If it does then there is ya problem.

No, when the stock 02 is plugged in, it does not throw a code. I had no 02 in there for a while before I went for tuning, and it did throw a code. Put one in, reset the ecu and it was gone. The hondata won't even recognize the stock 02 let alone the wideband 02.

I was thinking about replacing the entire harness. Does anyone know if this harness definitely runs from the fuse box all the way to the back of the car, or does it terminate and unplug somewhere under the dash?
