Just joined as I received great info from Acurazine when I owed a TL

New car when worthless horn. Looking for recommendations to replace with a beefier one but I honestly can’t find that stock one

I usually look at the larger vehicles of similar year range for horn upgrades. especially going "up market" and looking at RDX, MDX, Integra ect. I have heard the accord horn is a popular upgrade on older HR-Vs. not sure how much has changed on the 2024 MY.

Another more universal option to make sure you're happy with the replacement is to find a self-serve salvage yard. Take a battery (I use an old drill battery) and some wire and walk the yard testing horns until you find one (usually a pair for the two-tone sound) that you like. check the connector on your HR-V before you go to save yourself some rewiring.

I replaced mine with one from a Lexus LS400. Way louder and better sounding.

It’s a single horn and no relay is needed. Just make sure to grab the factory Lexus/Toyota plug and ample amount of wire for connection
