Default why no 6speed for b series

it does seem kind of strange, especially now when you can buy a b series crate motor, you would think some company would have done the R&D to build and sell a 6speed

contact http://www.gear-speed.com and get them to make you one....they make billet trannies with straight cut gears that are able to be torn down completely within minutes.....I am shure (if you are willing to pay) that they can make you one

theres another company that makes 6 speeds for b series engines they go by the name of xtrac. they are the ones that make transmisions for a couple of pros like Gardella and Hoyos. The only thing is that your going to have to pay 20 g's if you want one.

At something like 2-3 million $ for R&D and tooling there is a very good reason why a 6 speed hasn't been developed for the consumer aftermarket.

Reverse engineering an engine and accounting for weaknesses is a easier and less costly process than designing a transmission from scratch.

Find a company that will make a good 6-speed B-series tranny for less than $2500 and I'll be the first one to buy one.

heheh... closer to 9 times that price...

I am pretty sure you can get a racing tranny 6 speed.... but look around... even the pro fwd drag teams use 5 speed setups still.
