who makes good pistons?
with a couple of engine upgrades like cams, valves, valve springs, retainers ect. what kind of pisonts would you recommend with what kind of compression?
that's like asking what's the best turbo kit. everyone has their own opinion. je have been around for a long time but honestly i haven't had very good luck with them. ross pistons are very popular with some of the really fast imports (aebs swears by them.) i used arias in my most recent build only because they claim to have better oil control than je... but they have very loose tolerances up near the crown which causes them to clack around in the cylinders while the engine is warming up. there are alot of other companies out there. my suggestion is that u call a shop that builds engines and see why they use the pistons they do. alot of times they have combinations or methods that cause certain components to work better than they would otherwise.
i would agree with supergreen but if it was my chioce stay factory honda or jdm honda
as far as compression goes... it's up to you. you'll have to figure out how much tuning you are willing to go through for a high compression motor, cause some of us are limited to lower than 96 octane gas, i wouldnt go over 12:1 static compression on regular 93 octane gas

true,
I did a search and alot came up about JE pistons, I'll just have to look around I suppose. Are JE expensive and those other brands you talked about?
