1,1,1 trichloroethane sometimes called safety-solvent was my favorite high flash, basically nonflammable solvent and wasp killer.

FLAMMABILITY(FLASH POINT):
This chemical has a flash point of >93.3 C (>200 F) (RAD). It burns only
in excess oxygen or air if a strong source of ignition is present. The autoignition temperature is 537 C (998 F).

Thats pretty darn high. But no new stock of this great solvent was to be produced after 2002 due to it's impact on the ozone layer.

Here is a somewhat reasonable relpacement for trichlor by LPS, A 151
