Default what types of internals and cams should i use?

I plan on running an all motor set up. I currently have CTR pistons and rods. Also ITR cams. I think i might go a different route though. Please vote and tell this dummy what internals are the best and why. I was told not to get spoon internals because its just glamourised Type R stuff. Can someone explain this?

you are being kinda vague, you need to give us your plan, such as what mods, you are going to do, how high you plan to rev and that sort of stuff

Agreed. What we need:

How much power do you want?
How much do you want to rev?
How much streetability are you willing to give up?
What type of fuel management do you plan on running?
What are your future plans?

Answer those please.

I want around 200 to the wheel. I also want to rev up around 10,000 RPM like my friends john car. I want a very street drivable car. I dont want high duration on my cam. I will prob run a Hondata program. My plans are just staying all motor and perhaps when i know a little more using ITB.

People have made over 200 WHP on Type-R cams, but they power peak just a little above 8k, which would make taking it to 10k useless.

I think a JUN III or a Toda B/C is a good option. Both are pretty exotic N/A cams, but they'll make the most power. And with conservative tuning, you should be pretty reliable.

Do you know what kind of compression you want to run?

Ok.. these:
I want around 200 to the wheel..

I dont want high duration on my cam.
..do not match up with these:

I also want to rev up around 10,000 RPM like my friends john car.

I want a very street drivable car.
At all. You can't have a streetable car that revs to 10k and you can't (or i guess you could but it would be utterly pointless) rev to 10k with a low duration cam. You need to decide what you want and what you need; do you feel like you will NEED to rev to 10k, or do you just want to do it because you think it will be cool? Are you willing to sacrifice idle (big duration) for more power? You gotta plan these things out..

Hondata is a good choice however, if your mods merit it. Just make sure you have a competent tuner nearby.

As far as ITB's, I've heard both opinions on whether they are good for a street car or not. I'm kind of on the fence on the issue, mainly since I've never been able to see them in person. But regardless, they are pretty complicated and NOT for the amateur; again, do research.

All that being said, 200whp is doable in a daily driven car. Skunk2 stage 1's should put you there (with raised compression, good I/E, etc.) or probably Toda B's, JUN II's.. whatever.

beeeeee to the two oh.

200 whp is no problem.
sell your ctr pistons and rods.
get b20 sized internal goodies,
and a B16 swap to complete the crvtec setup.

NICE

Agreed. If you want 200whp and want to rev high, then JUNIII or Toda cams are your best best. Don't expect it to be like stock drivbility though, but you should be able to use this car as a daily driver
