Which tires would you choose? I need to buy fairly soon, and didnt find exactly what i was looking for when i searched. These will be mounted on 16 inch rims, the car will be my daily driver and plan on doing a little autocross with it. But im also on a budget and driving to buy christmas presents, so let me know wut u think.

Yokohama AVS ES100
Nitto NT 450 Extreme Performance

you cant go bad with the khumos.... they have good wet/dry traction and they have plenty of tread wear, but i have heard some pretty good reviews about the Yok AVS ES100... they are pretty much the same thing as the AVS Sports but they are even more emproved... the treadwear is a lot better - that sacrifices the softness of the tire but i have heard that the riding characteristics are all still the same if not better. if you are doing some AutoX i would reccomend the Yoks....

ps they are both the same price on tirerack.com try tires.com although their prices are higher the free shipping "usually" makes up for that...

 

i have Avid H4s and I like them. They are pretty good for the track even

 

I'd stay away from those Dunlops, they got real bad reviews on tirerack.com.

 

I researched this last week and found Kumho's are the best for the buck.

I had 205/40/17's on my 98 LX and will be ordering 205/45/16's for my Eg.
