What make model and trim of car?

Pictures help. I can't think of any hose on an older Honda that is gold. Maybe it's a third party part?

Picture please.

Impossible to identify a hose out of all the hoses in the engine bay off your description.

Hell, for all we know, this aint even a Honda we're talkin' about.

I think you may be referring to the water pipe on the back of the block, it is kind of a bronze gold color when it isn't rusty. See item 9 on the attached picture. Goes between the thermostat housing and water pump, honda list it as pipe, connecting.

Part # 19505-P2A-000 (for the vehicle you listed).

This is what I'm guessing he's referring to also.

I've never seen a non corroded one.

Also would like to thank you for pointing out that OP did provide the car information. I scrolled to the first post so missed the addition in a later post.

My apologies OP.

Based on the fact your pipe is still in near pristine condition, if you are having a leaking issue with this pipe, it's likely either the seals on the ends or much worse, a cracked block.

Your car is not the year range known for the problem of the block cracking (2006-2009) so not sure why you would be experiencing a problem with this pipe.
