Yeah I'm wondering the same thing, and how much fuel should I add it too? Cuz it says 20 gallons but I don't have a 20 gallon tank obviously and I know it's not intended for passing smog, so should I add it to like a half tank or 1/4 or what?

Just add he whole bottle to the tank and then fill it up
I read alcahol really does the trick

Here are my numbers

15 mph: rpm 1841 %CO2 14.6 %O2 .4 HC (PPM) 141 CO (%) .67 NO (PPM) 978
25 mph: rpm 2011 %CO2 14.6 %O2 .3 HC (PPM) 102 CO (%) .69 NO (PPM) 1012

You should post the limits too. It looks like you are close, may just be a bad cat.

Oh no, the cat was at 15 %, it's a brand new cat.
But I did some seafoam and I'm getting a new o2 sensor, couldn't find that airleak but I tightened some stuff up. I think it might be my bad iacv
I'll post the limts

Limits max

15 mph: HC (PPM) 94 CO (%) .58 NO (PPM) 847
25 mph: HC (PPM) 76 CO (%) .49 NO (PPM) 786
I'm hoping I'll pass today, I have a friend who just goes to any smog station and hands the guy 250.00 dollars

See that's strange in Oregon we don't have to do a rolling test. we just do an idle test "phew".

Although in my endeavors I have tried the following things.
Run really lean AF ratios --> 16-17-18:1 at idle any leaner depending on your engine it will hesitate.

Run like the least amount of ignition timing possible my H22 wouldn't run at anything below 10 degrees.

Denatured alcohol on a low tank.. I believe if you have an AF gauge in your car the reading will show really really rich I think... although it will be running cleaner.

Other things I tried was holding the clutch out a bit while idling and have the car idle lower 500rpm ish... however in your case you cant since you have to do a rolling test.

by the time you get done reading this, long story short I bought a new cat it had 3-4 miles on it and it passed with flying colors with no Micky mouse BS action going on, on my part... 14.7:1 at idle and 16 degrees base timing...

So none of the retarded things to try actually worked... and i took it to pass 5-6 times...

However to attempt to help you seafoam your car perhaps? the cat I was trying to pass with was actually bran new and it was bad, there is a brand with Mario Andretti on the box Magna flow... anyway there is a type of cat that I think has the letters HM on it... i forget but its a bit higher content of platinum in it so it filters out more of the bad exhaust gasses. I used this on my civic with an h22 and it passed with flying colors "at an idle test only"

Hope that helps.

Having an H22 in your Civic here will fail. Gotta get it BAR'ed first. Ignition timing outta spec=fail. 1996 and up cars require OE or CARB approved cats. otherwise=fail.

Decent information. #6,#7,#9 has mis info. I stopped reading the rest of the "tips" at that point. CO2 is a combustion indicator. Higher than 14.7:1 does not indicate a lean condition, but perhaps you were referring to the AF. Not sure which,as it reads now, its wrong. It indicates good combustion efficency. The higher the better.

Re: What gas do I use to pass smog?

Pretty easy to pass HC and CO if your running perfect air to fuel, but what can make you fail the most is NOx because it can be caused by bad thermostat, bad cat, bad tune, EGR valve if present, carbon build up, oil or/and high compression. You just never know what it could be, but best thing to do if the number is over 1000 is to just buy a new cat, it will usually do the job in removing NOx.
