What does the Purge Control Solenoid do?
I recently purchased a B16a2 swap. The Purge Control Solenoid that attaches to fuel rail was destroyed. Is this something I can do without. If not does anyone have one for sale? Thanks for any help.
the purge sol.; when it opens, allows gasses from the evap can to enter the intake man..
if you have a obd2 ecu, then you gonna throw a code, if its obd1 its ok to take it out

I have an OBD2 ECU. Is there anyway to keep it from throwing a code and not use the solenoid. Will it affect how the engine runs if it does throw a code.

no it wont affect engine performance, its only for emissions purposes
for no code= buy one or use a obd1 ecu

You CAN get a purge control solenoid from ANY honda/acura in a junkyard.
I believe ALL OBD0-OBD1-OBD2 are the same. But on OBD0/ 1cars it on the firewall.
