what do you guys think about this?
what do you think this motor set up will hit???and what do you think the comp is with ctr piston???11:1?? 12:1??
B16a block
Civic type R pistons

B16a block --------------------
You really want torque for all motor (if you already own the B16, sleeve and bore the SOB.)
Civic type R pistons ----------
civic type R rods --------------
Forged I or H beams (almost same price)
b16 head ----------------------
Good flowing (Type R without the port)
civic type R cams -------------
/
Research the CTR/ITR cams(the exhaust is the same cam)
crower valvetrian -------------N/O (no opinion)
crower valves (16) -----------
not needed unless you port and polish the head.
crower valve springs ---------
What is your redline goal (ITR springs good for 8400)
crower Ti retainer ------------
http://www.portflow.com (have them do you head work)
cam gears?? ------------------N/O haven't researched these enought to know who is good and who isn't......some people have had there gears slip.....not good.
ECU
hondata stage 4 -------------
!!!! Why pay 1200 bux for something when a VAFC does close to the same thing at 300!!!
RC injectors 280-------------
Fully research horsepower needs before you purchase large injectors. (people have pushed 200+ whp on stock injectors)
itr 4-2-1 header---------------
JDM 4-1 ITR header.
EDIT: and to answer your compression ratio question. http://www.bojangz.com/calculator/

That looked Fun for you spade...i'll give my opinion on it too.
B16a block - like the Rod/Stroke ratio, hate the displacement. You can get around it...
Civic type R pistons - Good! OEM parts!
civic type R rods - not really needed stock is good.
b16 head - PORTFLOW headwork
civic type R cams - works well with the b16!! ITR ones Cheaper.
crower valvetrian - PORTFLOW as well, have them resemble your head with them.
crower valves (16) - along with ferrea valves +.5; not really needed but it'll help.
crower Ti retainer - Portflow as well.
cam gears - gears anything other than aem; TODA's are very popular, SKunk2 ect.
ECU - either get a chipped ecu or the hondata...
hondata stage 4 - not needed at all...stage 2 is fine and have some one else tune it.
RC injectors 280 - its fine
itr 4-2-1 header - nonono a nono get either the JDM 4-1 or another; JUN, SPOON ect....
Hiflow CAT - carsound ect....
APexi N1 - or any straight through exhaust.
ITR intake manifold
OR instead of building your whole engine. Build the bottom end.
Take a b20 block add pistons (12:1 CR) and rods, GSR girdle
plant it with the SI head with ITR cams, and hope u dyno 200+whp

Exactly. In all actuallity we would like to know what you are trying to achieve with your engine/performance. Once you share that, we can get more specific when it comes to the engine.
