What kind of cage are you putting in and how come you can't weld all the way around the pipes. Typically, even with the 8 point cages we cut holes in the floor board to drop the entire main hoop and front bars down so that they can be welded around 360º. Once everything is welded you can bring the cage back up and plate reinforce the bottom. Let me know where/what you're welding and I might be able to help. Good Luck

I had heard of cutting holes to drop the cage through but I was wondering if you can get around doing this. The only ones I see having trouble welding is the rear diagonal tubes.

Oh okay, that's fine then as those are normally done last anyways (when the cage is back up). Is this a custom cage you are working with and how high is it tucked up? Also what kind of welder are you using? If you can't get all the way around them (maybe missing the very very top point) you can probably get away with it. It really just depends on how high your main hoop is. We normally don't have a problem getting all the way around them with TIG but I'm sure it would be a little more difficult if your working with a MIG setup. I know it's kind of hard to see but do your rear drop bars come down at an angle close to Brian's in the pic? As you can see we had a decent amount of room to weld so it really wasn't too bad. I guess I would say, if it's really a tight squeeze get as much as you can.

do you guys have a problem getting the head liner back in after the cage is welded in ? also have you guys ever used any of art morrisons cages seeing as he is located near us?

Are the rear tubes on brians car welded to the floor there because they are going to the shock towers thats for sure.

We never pull out the roof liners (just leave them in and use a flame barrier) but I imagine that they would be a pain in the *** to install after welding in a cage. We've actually only used two of the Art Morrison, one on Will's Rex and another on Spencer's EH2, they look pretty nice and you definately can't beat the price. Brian's rear drop bars are going to the floor of the car, we didn't crosslink the rear shock towers and tie them into that or anything fancy. As for tuning it's best to just call the shop, Scott (CrazyCompression) and I really don't know prices. If you are interested and want to call the shop the number is 503.256.3278.
