Default Welding 02 sensor (no bung)

hi i have a working 02 sensor that has the threads completely screwed don it.
I know this could cause a pain in the *** later on but can the sensor be directly welded in the exhaust or will the heat kill the sensor?

I know its half arsed either way but not looking to buy a new 02

Most likely the sensor will be dead after it. Sensors cost 50 bucks and a bung costs about a buck or so, I wouldnt bother trying to weld one directly to the exhaust.

Idk where in canada your from but a regular narrowband o2 sensor is 5$ used or 40-50$ new...
so just buy another one instead of wasting your time welding one on then grinding it off once you realize you killed it.
