First off what i'm working with... it's a boosted b18b with a full build and a gsr tranny with a act clutch and light flywheel. It's running on a base map but i haven't got too crazy in it as i want a nice powerful conservative tune. Bought car from a friend not too long ago and i wanna tidy up all the loose ends and noises.

The weirdest of them all is like a loose bolt and nut it sounds like when deccealerating or a slow crawl from stop. It almost sounds like a loose flywheel bolt maybe. it's almost like a Zingy sound (hard to explain i know)

i plan on lashing the valves cause i heard last time he did it he did it hot.

also like a floorboard creek when you re turning the wheel or hitting bumps but i'm guessing thats a ball joint...

i'm new to honda and i know honda stuff can be a lil noiser then others but if anyone has any info or insight i'd appreciate it

 

Get a video of the first noise because I have no idea what a "zingy" sound is, lol

The creaking you are hearing is probably a ball joint or tie rod end grease the front end and check for any loose parts while you have it in the air

GET IT TUNED!!! NOT LATER< NOW! unless of course you want to rebuild it before the end of the summer

 

gonna be hard to get video of it. like a loose washer on a bolt almost... and the car is sitting right now. i just baby it everywhere and stay out of boost. I'll be getting the tune scheduled as soon as i get back into town. woot woot!

PFI in colorado is still around right? website looks like it hasn't been updated in 5 yrs.

so i noticed there is a lil oil leaking near each cam gear and think that is where the sound is coming from... what am i looking at here... stupid leaky cam seals behind the gears? (browsing forums at the moment)

 

How did you make out with this? i am having the same problem with my 95 ls integra
