Icon6 Weird Electrical Problems

Ok so my friend recently just purchased a 98 Gsr and it has some weird electrical problems. 1st of the battery never holds its charge. 2nd when he steps on his brakes.. his sidemarkers and speedometer blink and light up lol. do you guys have any idea what it is? im not really familiar with electrical stuff but if you can just point us in the right direction we will try to go from there lol. thanks though

Default Re: Weird Electrical Problems

for the blinking when braking check the dual filament bulbs to see if either the top filament has dropped on the bottom or the bottom where it goes into the plug the two pieces of the bottom have welded themselves together on the brake lights themselves.

as for the not holding charge, check for a draw on the battery with the car off and shut down. is the alternator charging the vehicle when its running?
