water temp gauge install on a d16y8 HELP NEEDED!!

I just bought my gauges and and i have a problem with the water temp gauge.I think i no where to put it but want to make sure.

whats wrong with the one on your gauge cluster?

Or is your gauge cluster not working.

it goes above your stearing wheel

explain your problem better

i have a after market gauge on the a-piller and i want to hook it up.It has a like a brass fitting at the end.

Sounds like it's mechanical. That means you need to put the sensor where coolant flows.

Many people put the fitting on the un-used tapped spot on the waterneck. Its a long wire to route, but its a good spot.

the fitting that come with the guages want fit on any places that i found.thats includes the air bleeder valve,the two under the distributor,and the on the back of the head where the coolant flows bak to the radiator.is there any other places that could be tapped.
