Hey guys,
Need help asap. I have a JDM b18c type R in my '89 Rex and I am getting code 7 tps, and code 9 cyp. These codes only come on once in a while but always go together, never just one. When I hit Vtec, (weather im throwing codes or not) it becomes very loud (maybe leaning out??) and stutters in vtec. Please help!!!

 

7 is throttle position sensor, 9 is CYP (in the distributor) It is not common to have a junked up distributor on a jap engine. sometimes they pressure washt hem and they fill up with water. Byt he time they get here to the states they grow all kinds of funk inside. The TPS code may be caused by the wires being crossed in the connector? I guess have a look at those things and see what you come up with.
