Hey i got vtec problem its not working and im not getting any code beside o2 sensor and ingtion misfire,but no vtec code. Check everything all wires clean the vtec solinoid and still doesnt work.check oil. I know for sure its not even working because i have a vtec light and the light doensnt come on anymore. Need help no vtec sucks!!!!!!!!!

 

Im not positive but, I dont think vtec will engage if you have a check engine light. At least with a stock ECU. And maybe your vtec light got disconnected.

it actually depends on what cel it is, apparently the ecu won't engage vtec if an o2 cel is on.

 

depends.. obd1 cel for o2 will not affect vtec.

 

its a obd2 and my friend had a o2 cell and his vtec works fine with stock gsr ecu and his is a obd2 car too.no matter what i will always have a check engine light because of my car is a dx with ex engine harness so i only have one 02 plug because dx dont have a o2 plug underneath the car like an ex does that plug into the converter. Any other suggestion would help...

 

have you done any mods or changes recently? have you checked your soleniod wires and oil pressure wires? make sure they are all plugged in

 

check all of that basic bolt on i/h/e any more ideas would help...
