Hi guys, i have a 97 ls with a full 98 spec itr swap from hmo. I just noticed that my vtec wont engage sometimes. I have plenty of oil in my car and i notice when it doesnt engage.. my temp gauge is still cold. I turn the car on to warm it up for like 5 min..then i drive it and it takes like 10 min or more for the needle to rise .. but it doesnt even go all the way to the middle. Then once it goes to as far is it can.. my vtec starts to work.. whats the problem here and how can i fix it? is some sensor or something messed up. please help me ASAP.. thanks.. dont be an *******.. ahah KINDA new to this

 

thermostat? you need coolant temp, oil pressure, load, speed, and rpm for vtec to work.

 

alright so the thermostat is prob messed up? is it reading that my motor is cold but really not?
