Default vtec in dx eg?

so heres the deal. i have a 92 automatic dx hatch, i already did the sex change and am getting ready to drop in my turbo frankinstein motor. my question is if the chassis wiring harness already has vtec wired in. i've heard 92 is the only harness that has it from the factory so as long as my engine harness has vtec wired in, which it does, i just plug it in to the stock harness and plug in my p28, boom, vtec?this sounds to good and easy to be true. anyone else dealt with this mystery?

as long as you wired it to the shock tower pinouts you should be fine
