Default vtec activation?

b16a in 91 teg. still obd0. want to know if there is a way to activate vtec without buying pr3 ecu? if so, how would i wire vtec pressure, ground, etc....? also are the spark curves in the b18a ecu good for the b16a?

without the a correct ecu, its gonna be hard to retain correct fuel maps for your motor. you can always convert to obd1 and run a chipped p28, more cheaper than pr3/pw0

how is it more cheaper? i have a setup obd0 right now. all i would need is ecu. with obd1 wouldnt i have to buy a conversion harness, dizzy injectors and a 4-wire 02sensor, not to mention buying the ecu.

How soon are you planning on going turbo? A PR3 or PW0 might be in your best interest if it's soon... If not, How exactly do you want to activate vtec? I might be able to help you out... the most ghetto way I've ever seen vtec wired up is by putting it on switch taped to the shift ****... lol... I can help you out with the ecu reprogramming too... which ECU are you using?
