Default VTC (Variable Valve Timing) for b series engines?

is that possible? maybe in near future?
or the b series design does not leave any room for the VTC intake cam at all?

the vtc cam seems to be iol pressure regulated and the oil passeges go thru the camshafts.
so the camshafts and the head have to be modified to run the oil pasages and then the gear itsself

I'm sure someone creative enough can pull it off mechanically, but the bigger question/concern I have is how do you control it? The link you provided states "The engine computer plays a vital role in the engine's performance as it adjusts the camshaft timing depending on the vehicle's engine speed and load." Being that the B series (or any engine for that matter that doesn't incorporate this technology already) doesn't have any way to control this already, how would you go about controlling it?

aftermarket ecu boards like hondata or neptune could probably implement it.
or maybe the IAB system from gsr can be adapted to control it via aftermarket board.
well it seems like the vtc is constantly variable not a switch between 2 options like vtec.
so for b series it could be a simple switch betwen 2 cam timing positions regulated by oil pressure not a variable like rsx.
doesnt neptune and hondata have extra inputs and outputs?

maybe an RSX cam gear could be used partially to adapt it to belt driven gear and add the oil passages. that would be a first step.

RPM controlled switch for now might work.
even an addon module for that matter to control the vtc mechanism

i'm not sure why you would do it. it would be cheaper to just swap a k series motor into the car.

its cheaper to just buy an RSX but people still build their single cams and B series...
i dont see a point here mang sorry.

i would do it for same reason swap other parts, to get more power and better fuel economy as well
