VSS location on Civic Si
Hi,
I'm having some problems with my speedometer and I'm suspecting my VSS is bad.
Everything in the dash works (RPM, Gas gauge, etc..) except the speedometer. It indicate 0 kmh. Some times it works for a few minutes and it goes back to 0 kmh.
So my question is where is the VSS located. On the tranny? Is it easy to change? How? Is it expensive?
Thanks

Maxime,
if it is a cable transmission, the VSS is located in the back of the gauge cluster itself. the piece in the tranny is nothing more than the gear that drives the cable that turns the VSS in the back of the cluster.
if the car is 92+, then yes, the VSS is located in the tranny in the location that the cable driver is located in cable trannies..
