I've done numerous searches via google, forums, etc and haven't found the answer I'm looking for.. I'm looking at buying a CRX here in Italy, but when I asked the guy, who has no idea what he's talking about, he told me it was a euro-spec 92 CRX. I told him to just pop the hood and let me get the VIN because at this point I knew it was pointless to continue the conversation. I wrote the number down, but am running into a dead end. Here's the VIN I have and what I know from the VIN decoder that is floating around the interwebz:

M - Pass. Car
ED9 - Civic CRX 1.6 (1988)
3 - 2 door hatchback, manual
7 - ??
0 - check digit
0 - ??

>>EDIT<< I need to know what year this is above all else. The ED9 shows up as a 1.6 CRX for 88, 90-91 on all the decoders I've found. I have to make sure exactly what it is and be able to prove it for registration/importing. The current registration says "1992"... :/


The 7 doesn't work out, neither does the second zero.. At least on all the decoders I looked at. I've noticed at least a few other people had similar problems on other forums, but no responses/answers. Anyone?
