We just installed a Apex VAFC in a 99 Si and when we took it out last night to tune it we ran into a problem......We could not get the VTEC to change.....everything worked fine but the VTEC setting......I've heard of people having this problem before but i dont know anyone personally.....anyone know what went wrong???

 

make sure all the connections are right... then... are u sure ur not changing v-tec? are you hearing the secondaries in the IM... your v-tec stock is 4400 not 5500 where the secondaries are. you actually hear the secondaries on a stock motor not the "v-tec"

 

sure you have it all wired right? and that there are no loose connections. silver solder and e. tape, or connectors.

 

connecters.....so when does VTEC kick in on a 99 SI?

 

go into your monitor section, monitor whatever you want exept add VTo in there somewhere. then take it around for a while if vtec is kicking in it will say ON instead of off.
