? valve lash when degreeing cams
im trying to degree in my pro2's ad i have read to degree them with valvelash at .000 but have also seen where people were doing it at normal valvelash of .007, .008. what is the correct way to do it because i dont want to have them adjusted incorrecty due to valvelash
Your valve lash(clearance) should be at 0.007"(cold;intake)
and 0.008" (cold, exhaust)
DO NOT put valve lash at 0. When they get hot and expand you will run the risk of seizing a cam, which will lead to engine failure and a costly rebuild.

Degree them with .000-.001" lash. Set lash back to Skunk2's recommendations (probably .007-.008" intake / .008-.009" exhaust) in order to run the engine though or you'll run into some problems, as mentioned.
