valve adjustment problem

Default valve adjustment problem

Went to adjust my valves today, cyl1 and cyl2 went fine, but on cyl3, the exhaust side is way too tight, even with the adjustment screw loosened all the way, not even the .005 will fit Any ideas? Already tried searching, didn't find anything relevent...

You made sure to set EACH cylinder to TDC, on the compression stroke, before adjusting the valves of that individual cylinder, right?
