Type R transmission?
Hey, just wondering if anyone know where i can find a type R tranny. Acura says they have 149 of them on nationwide backorder!! We need them for our race car and will be willing to sell the factory diff. out of them pretty cheap since we run a Quaife. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
There's a guy on this board (forgot his user name) that has plenty of good used ones and has sold many to people on this board in the past. He's located somewhere in northern cali. You can possibly find him if you do a search in the archive under type r trannies or something. Good Luck though.

Yes, that's the guy. I almost bought a set of Type-R wheels from him. Fair prices. He is based out of the San Francisco area and has a warehouse w/ lots of JDM parts coming in from the motherland. Seemed reputable + professional.

i have one of brian's transmisssions, and just installed a second ITR 4.4 tranny for a friend of mine.
if you want used, go with him (b18c powered si)
if you want new, go with bert-o on this board, he works for gettel acura.
