trying to to jack up my car

i was trying to jack my car up with a scissor jack a since i have an anti roll bar front and rear i heard my car just creaking really loud as i lifted the car. What is going and is it doing damage.

Was your parking brake engaged? If so it was just the brakes. If not I don't know.

where was the noise comming from..

like buzzbomb said, it was most likely the rear brakes
