transmission issue
driving home today my transmission suddenly decided not to allow me to downshift anymore. so i had ot resort ot rev matching to get my downshifts. then i noticed that in neutral with the clutch engage i could hear scratching type noises coming from the transmission.
i took it easy drove the rest of the way home and did a few things:
i repalced the rubber clutch line between the body and transmission which had a small leak for the past 6 months.
did a transmission poil change, i had been running pennzoil syncromesh for the past 9 months and aroudn 15k miles, it came out a lot darker than it went in, i put 2 more quarts of syncromesh in and went for a test drive.
the test drive had the scratching noises for about 2 minutes then they went away and i was able to downshift without rev matching.
im afraid the transmission is about to go....its an m2a4 H22a transmission in my accord...it has about 125k miles on it now, and shifts very smooth with no scratching on shifts, and hasnt ever had a problem yet...
can anyone who has had similar issues let me know what they had to fix to make things straight?
