I tried searching and couldnt find anything ... My bro blew the tranny in my 90 civic hb cause he sucks at driving, so I picked up another tranny from another 90 civic. Both motors were D15b. I believe the tranny that im trying to put in is from an Si and the original one was a DX, but I dont think that matters because they are both L3's. Im having a problem getting the shaft in the tranny into the flywheel. The original one slides right in but for some reason this one isnt. we checked all the splines and **** - they all look fine.

any suggestions?

 

Did you count the splines on both trannies?

 

20 on both ...


this car was broke on friday, i really need to get this baby back and running... any help is greatly appreciated

 

Clutch is different ... I need to go get another clutch.

 

clitch splines fit on the old tranny, but not on the new?

I dont understand how the clutch wont fit on both tranny's they're both the same arent they? except for maybe the gearing

 

took it apart, the clutch from the tranny donor was different then the car that we were putting it on. swapped clutched - problem solved
