I fried the differential in my transmission a few days ago in my 90 hatch. So i now have my four speed spare tranny in the car. I have a zc tranny with a broken housing my dx tranny with fried differential, and a 95 delsol tranny. so my qusetion is will all of the gears interchange? I would like to take the diff form the zc and the first four gears and possibly depending on the ratio of the fifth out of the delsol tranny. If the zc diff won't work can i use the delsol diff. any help or ideas would be great thanks

 

I am fairly certain that the diff from the zc trans and del sol trans is not compatible with the 88-91 inner cv joints. If your trans with the fried diff is a 88-91 dx/lx or is a 90-91 si trans, then the diff from a 88-91 four speed trans should work. (the 88-89 si has a unique diff.) You should be able to use the zc gears. I am not shure about the del sol fifth gear. If your blown diff trans is an si, you will probably want to use that final drive.
