i know air in your brake lines can cause bad braking, but can air in your hydraulic line to your slave cylinder cause weak clutch engagement, and the cluth not to hold to its full potential?

because i just finished my swap, and the clutch is really squishy. and clutch doesnt grab hard. so i know there is air in the lines
