timing retard on an advanced timing chip?

timing retard on an advanced timing chip?
If I put a skunk2 chip in my b16 that raises my timing up to something like 22 when vtec kicks in, will a msd timing retard drop it back down to 2 degrees below stock for when my nitrous is activated? Does anyone have any idea about this?
