How do you set the timing on a 1.5 SOHC Civic.

take of the timming cover and line up the two dots or use a timing light

first you'll need a timing gun. then you need to loosen the bolts on the distrubtor don't take off the bolt with the timing gun flash it to your harmonic balancer and you'll see a white line with that align the white line too the mold that's on the cover (reference point on TDC) by either advance or retarding your distrubtor. then tighten the bolts back on have fun
