Default Throw out Bearing bad?

I'm not sure if it's my throw out bearing or my tranny. But i have hard times shifting into gears sometime after the clutch get hot. When i was throwing in the new clutch i didn't grease up the throw out bearing like a dumb ***. What are the sign affects if you have a bad throw out bearing?

Throw-out bearing would make noise. But a bad pilot bearing might cause this. Too much drag there would be like a dragging clutch. It would act like the clutch can't ever completely disengage.

yah..that sounds exactly what happen to me....Made clunking noises like it was it was flappin back and forth...But the Pilot bearing part of the problem seems like the problem too.. Just wondering, how can a pilot bearing go bad? it doesn't having any internal moving parts?

When you're driving (clutch engaged), the clutch is all locked together & the pilot bearing isn't doing anything. But when you disengage the clutch, the pilot bearing has to spin free otherwise it's just like your clutch is dragging. The pilot is small, & stuck in the middle of the flywheel like it is; it doesn't always make enough noise to warn you it's going bad.

Another possibility is something coming apart from your clutch disk or pressure plate. Anything can get stuck between the disk & flywheel & PP, keeping it from releasing all the way. But it sounds like the clutch & PP is kinda new?

my clutch and PP is all new..so is my flywheel.. i dont know what to get replace now.. I hope it's just the throw out bearing. imma get the pilot bearing just in case since it's not too much more...anything else i should look in it...Sometimes the car let me shifted great...then other times...it doesn't want me to get into gear at all...i have to force it in..

A bad throw-out bearing makes noise but doesn't usually mess up the ability to shift.

Or it might come apart & the peices will get inside the PP & clutch disk. That's not good but they often go for quite a while simply making noise.

The fact that yours doesn't go into gear still says its either the pilot bearing or something getting in the clutch to prevent it from releasing.
