Default Tein EDFC, Tein Coilovers

Does anyone have Tein EDFC (electronic dampening Force Controller)? If so, how do you like it? Are the adjustments simple? Also, are the Tein Coilovers made of Aluminum or are they steel? Thanks Also, does anyone know the weight or the different coilovers, or where I may be able to find that information?

Any Tein coilover that starts with a "R_" has an aluminum shock body (ie: Type RA, RE, RS). The aluminum Tein's are the high end of their line-up, and along with being geared more towards racing, they're also more expensive.

You can use the EDFC with most of the DC2R coilovers, not just the Tein Type Flex coilovers, but that's often not the case with some other Honda's and most other makes of cars.

Thanks a lot. I have this friend that works at a honda dealership, he says some people have come in havin trouble with tein coilovers. Said that after a year they cease up and become unadjustable. Maybe cuz of rest ro something, IDK. This is in Wisconsin where the weather brings a lot of snow n ****. If the aluminum is purchased will this problem be avoided. Does this jerk *** of a friend of mine sound like a lier?

People have had some isolated problems with siezing, but that's because they didn't use a proper grease on the threads. White lithium grease will protect the threads year round from both moisture and road salt. It doesn't come off easily, and you don't need much of it to protect everything either.

I don't use the coilovers at all during the winter time anyways, and switch back to using the stock ITR shocks/springs. There's no way I'm gonna smoting $1500 worth of equipment just b/c I'm too lazy, or don't have a place to swap them out.
