Default techies help

techies I need your help, I have been trying to degree me sk2-II cams for the past week and I've had no luck doing so. The motor is going to be taken to Endyn in about 2 months to get it tuned, so I want to get this done without doing it there. I have all the basics down but the the opening and closing do not match the cam card. Sk2 calls for (intake) 37deg opening@1mm and 49 closing@1mm and 266 degrees duration at 1mm. I got 1deg opening and 155deg closing at 1mm. WTF? Also my lobe center is at 167 and sk2 is at 96, so I rotate the engine to lobe center according to the dial gauge and it reads 254 at the nose of the cam. Totally confusing, any help would be great....

Thanks for reading.

maybe you're talking cam degrees and skunk is talking crank degrees, or vice versa.

well you'd better look at your cam dial. with degrees that far off it sure sounds like one of you is talking cam degrees and the other talking crank degrees. i think overall you should check your method of degree the cams. skunk2 is very reputable; i have a few of their parts and they are . they've been making cams for quite a while. i think they know what they're talking about. also, make sure when you talk to them that they are telling you specs for the right cam and right engine. maybe that's some other engine?

the cams are at zero, im getting these numbers off the degree wheel. Theirs no doubt in my mind that the cams are junk cause I really like sk2's products, just want to get this down before I send it off to the shop. But im sure that im going to have to wait till then to learn this BS task of degreeing the cams.. Thanks for your advice anyways
